FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The questions we're asked most often. For anything else, use the enquiry form above.

Q1How long does installation take?
It depends on the vehicle and the scope of work. A full windshield plus sides and rear installation on a passenger car usually takes around half a day (roughly 3–5 hours); partial work is quicker. The adhesive layer needs a few more days after installation to bond and dry fully. Tell us your vehicle when you book and we'll give you a precise estimate.
Q2What is the difference between Ceramic, Titanium and Platinum?
They differ in the materials the film is built from. Ultra Nano Ceramic uses a non-metallic (inorganic nano ceramic) structure with no metal, so there is no signal interference. Ultra Nano Titanium uses a hybrid structure combining ceramic with sputtered metal. Ultra Platinum uses a sputtered metal (metal deposition) process. All three are top-tier lines; choose by the material and its characteristics rather than by any ranking of performance.
Q3Does tinting affect GPS or toll transponder signals?
It depends on the product's construction. Ceramic is non-metallic, so it does not disturb GPS, toll transponders, mobile phones, radio or other radio signals. Titanium and Platinum contain metal, so the degree of any effect can vary with the product and where it is installed. Please check the individual product pages or ask us during consultation.
Q4What do TSER, IR and UV mean?
TSER (Total Solar Energy Rejected) is the proportion of the total solar energy trying to pass through the glass that the film rejects, the headline indicator of heat rejection as you actually experience it. IR (infrared) is the rejection rate in the near-infrared band you feel as heat, and UV (ultraviolet) is the rejection rate for the ultraviolet that damages skin and interiors. ARC OPTIC measures these figures on a spectrophotometer and publishes them for every density.
Q5What are the warranty period and conditions?
A genuine warranty certificate is issued for each vehicle installed, covering fade-free colour stability (Constant Color). The specific warranty period, scope and conditions follow the certificate as issued. The detailed warranty terms and the lookup system are currently in preparation. In the meantime, please use the enquiry form above or contact support and we'll help.
Q6How should I care for the film after installation (when can I wash the car)?
Immediately after installation, the mounting solution between the film and the glass has not fully dried. During the drying period (roughly a few days to two weeks, depending on season and humidity) it's best to avoid opening the windows and washing the car. Slight water marks or haze may appear while it dries; these disappear over time. After that, washing is fine. Clean the inside of the glass with a soft cloth and avoid sharp tools and strong ammonia-based cleaners. Full care instructions are provided at installation.
Q7Can film be removed or reinstalled?
Reinstallation after removing the existing film is possible. The difficulty and time required for removal can vary with the condition of the film and the type of glass (whether it has heating elements, for example). If you'd like film removed or reinstalled, tell us your vehicle and its current condition and we'll advise after a consultation.
Q8How do I make a booking?
Use the Book Online page in the top menu and leave your vehicle along with the product and density you want. If you only want to ask a question, the enquiry form on this page is fine.
